Now, we describe sunlight in more detail
Sunlight
Before starting indoor gardening, you may want to know which plants need more sunlight, which plants need less sunlight, which plants need direct sunlight, or which need indirect light. If you want to buy orchids, tropical hibiscus, aloe vera, African violets, etc., you will need to provide them with bright sunlight. For this reason, you can put them on a windowsill or balcony. When you buy green pothos, snake plants, spider plants, rubber plants, etc., you can put them in the corner of the house or by the table. In the end, it is true that each and every plant needs sunlight.
Water
Another name for water is life. It’s also true for plants. Without water, no plants live perennially. Some plants need much water, or some need less water. But some plants live in water without soil. So water is a very essential thing for plant care. Peace lily, green pothos, etc., grow in water without soil. On the other hand, spider plants, rubber plants, vegetables, etc., need a small amount of water. Soil-based plants need water every day in the summer season. In winter, you can water them every 1 or 2 days. Water-based plants need clean water, so you can change the water every 2 or 3 days. Finally, it is true that many plants die from overwatering. So, you must be careful about it.
Soil
Soil works as growing media, potting media, nutrition media, and as a substrate. Because it contains a lot of components that help a plant to grow properly as well as promotes health. For indoor gardening, you shouldn’t use garden or field soil. Golden soil is better for indoor gardening. If you use golden soil, it will help your plants to upgrade extraction and holding receptivity. On the other hand, field and garden soil can cause soil becomes very inserted and sickly expulsion. To make perfect soil for plants, you can mix coconut husk, sand, perlite, vermiculite, peat moss in soil with a proper ratio. These elements help provide the balanced water, air, and nutrient holding capacity to keep roots healthy.
Humidity
In winter months, our homes have low humidity, around 10%, where plants need 40 to 60% humidity. When humidity is low, your plants will grow slowly. So, you can plant cactus and succulents because they bear lower levels of humidity. On the other hand, you can set the plants in your bathroom or kitchen for high humidity. Setting up indoor terrariums near the plants can workable fighting indoor dryness.
Fertilizer
To make your plant youthful and free from bacteria, you can use fertilizer. Little or no fertilizer is typically wanted after repotting for a few months. Don’t use fertilizer more than necessary because it is not beneficial for plant health. You should also mix fertilizers with a ratio. When you want higher foliage growth, you can use a higher ratio of nitrogen. And when you use a fertilizer with more phosphorous for flowering plants. You don’t require extra work throughout the season. When you use slow-release fertilizers are great. Water soluble fertilizers are great because you can change the amount of fertilizer. At last, fertilizers help your plants to grow properly when humidity, light, or moisture level is may be low and also resulting weak growth.
Pests
Pests are a very big problem. Small flies are called fungus gnats which are harmful to plants and humans. They damage young roots. To discourage fungus gnats, let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. Remove aphids, mealybugs, and scale that are normally seen on houseplants. Mix rubbing alcohol, water, and dishwashing detergent properly and apply this to your plants. You can use a clove of garlic in the plant soil to get rid of bugs.
